Packing For a Yard Sale - Would Rather Be Making Tiny Books

There are 107 days until the Denver Museum of Miniatures, Dolls & Toys "Fall Show"! (Details here - Fall Show Info)! But who's counting?

I am doing some (late) Spring cleaning and I have boxes and boxes of stuff to go for a yard sale sometime in the next few weeks.

That's not all of it. So... much.... STUFF!!!

So full size stuff is taking up all my time right now, which is a bummer because I am dying to get back to MAKING!!! I have so many things I want to show you, but today I was reminded of books! I make books!

I think it's rare to know exactly when madness took you, but because of my old doll blog, I know the EXACT date.

April 16, 2016

(EDIT: OH!!! Oh no! While doing this entry, I realized I do NOT know the exact date! I was selling readable books at the Fall Show in 2015! There'll be a picture below! So.... I don't know when I got obsessed with them. I guess MIRANDA did on April 16th, 2016. D'oh!!! - Wendy_)

My tiny dolly, Miranda, discovered that her coffee shop/book store only had books with blank pages. And that is the exact moment I became fascinated with the idea of making real books, real tiny ones.

I've made a bunch of miniature books:

Books for bunnies at Miranda's coffee shop - C&M Books and Coffee!

A bunch of books for the "Little Show" 2024

A bookshelf full of books for the Tucson Miniature Showcase in 2023.

(And I've just realized) that the first time I sold books was at the Denver, Fall Show 2015! They even had their own little book market stall. :)

So while I'm working on packing full size stuff I don't need anymore, I am daydreaming about tiny titles. I have a bunch of new ones that I've never had available before! They'll definitely be a the Fall Show, and maybe on my website before that.

There's just something delightful about a tiny book! And if you ever have a sudden shrinking accident, you're going to want things to read!

Back to the Yard Sale mines. It's going to be so nice with all this stuff gone! And then, back to tiny book making. Can't wait!
